# Blackboard iframe ## Prerequisites - Obtain the LTI launch URL (and any other parameters) from the MentorAI team. - Be an instructor with permission to add LTI tools in your Blackboard course. ## Blackboard Ultra Workflow - Open your course in **Blackboard Ultra**. - Navigate to the folder or area where you want the mentor (e.g., **Resources**). - Click **Create → Teaching Tools with LTI Connection**. - Fill the form: - **URL**: paste the launch URL provided by MentorAI. - **Name**: e.g., EN Comp AI. - **Description**: paste a short, friendly description. - **Open in a New Window**: enable if you prefer the mentor in a separate tab. - Click **Save**. - Toggle **Visible to Students** so learners can access it. ### Test the link: - Click the item. - The mentor opens—either embedded or in a new window, depending on your choice. ## Blackboard Original (Legacy Interface) - Open the course that still uses the classic layout. - Go to **Build Content → Web Link**. - Provide: - **Name** of your AI mentor. - **URL** (the MentorAI launch link). - Check **This link is a tool provider** to mark it as an LTI integration. - Add a **description** if desired. - Click **Submit**. - The link now appears in the course; select it to launch the mentor inside Blackboard. ## Recap - **Ultra interface**: Create → Teaching Tools with LTI Connection. - **Original interface**: Build Content → Web Link → Tool Provider. - Always use the **launch URL** and settings supplied by MentorAI. - Make the item **visible** so students can see and use the AI assistant. That’s it—your MentorAI assistant is ready for students in Blackboard, whether you’re on Ultra or the classic interface.
